Pyrography and Oil Painting on Wood
Tilia Holmes is a UK based artist specialising in pyrography, scorching and oil painting on natural edged pieces of wood.
Inspired by trees she aims to capture the abstraction of leaves, branches and dappled light whilst retaining her realism style.
Her process involves hand burning her illustrations onto the wood, then adding sections of oil paint and often embellishing with metal leaf.
Her originals are also available as limited edition signed giclée prints.
Originals and framed prints exhibited in Dansel Gallery, Abbotsbury, Dorset.
